- How old do you have to be to do judo at EBJI?
Generally, we accept kids from 5 years old. However, we do sometimes accept 4.5 year olds, based on maturity level. There is no upper age limit.
- How much is the tuition?
When you first sign up, the introductory rate is $199 per student and $100 for every student in the same family thereafter (2 students $299, 3 students $399)
This introductory rate covers the first month of tuition, USJF membership (our national governing body, which is a requirement for all members) and a brand new judo gi.
After the first month, tuition is $100/month for the advanced class and $75/month for all other classes
- What are the monthly dues?
As stated above, dues are $100 per month for the advanced class, or $75 per month for the other classes. Family discounts are available, ask about them when you sign up.
- Do you have a drop in fee?
Yes, the drop in fee is $20 per class. Please make sure you bring your current USJF, USJA or USA Judo membership card as proof of registration.
- Are there any other hidden costs?
No. However, since we are a non-profit organization and all of our instructors donate their time to teach, we frequently do fundraisers and ask for donations, but it is not a requirement of membership.
- Do you offer student discounts?
We do not offer student discounts at this time.
- Where can I get forms to join?
You can come by EBJI (address on top right of this page).
- How do I sign up?
If you or your child would like to try a lesson before signing up, we do offer a free trial lesson. If you are interested, please come to the dojo 10-15 minutes before the appropriate class time to fill out some paperwork and borrow a uniform for that day. No appointment is necessary.
For all other questions, please feel free to contact EBJI.
